Case Summary:

With a Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering and fundamental research experience, undoubtedly, our client possesses the ability to advance in the field of computer science. When he contacted our law firm to file an I-140 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition on his behalf, we examined more into his degrees and diplomas, and after thoroughly evaluating his credentials, we established that we would lead him to NIW success and countersigned the retainer agreement.

His research has addressed several prominent issues in nano-optics such as nanofocusing for tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy and developing efficient and cost-effective silver nanowires for nano-imaging, which is useful in facilitating future research at the nanoscale. Specifically, he will continue his work on developing high spatial resolution microscopes for human-machine interface imaging, CMOS-compatible photonic crystal platform design, and the application of machine learning to nanophotonics.

Additionally, our client’s work was discussed in an article published in a well-reputed journal wherein the authors discussed the advantages of his lens-free setup for optimizing scanning near-field optical microscopy. Such coverage demonstrates the high degree of recognition that his research has received from the field. Also, his work on nanofocusing is unique in the field due to its high concentration power without the need for expensive equipment, is aligned with his proposed endeavor, and serves as further evidence of his success in electrical engineering to date.

To bolster our client’s case further, we added recommendation letters signed by four other expert scholars in the field, one of whom stated:

“To continue maximizing the United States’ investment [sic] AgNW technology and maintain low energy costs, [client] must be allowed to continue his research domestically.
