Case Summary:

The client that North America Immigration Law GroupWeGreened.com had the opportunity to work with in this case was a Research Scientist from Russia.  His work has focused specifically on inverse problems and imaging studies aimed to determine the physical properties of objects while remaining as non-invasive as possible. We successfully demonstrated that his continued employment in the field would benefit those in his field, as well as the citizens of the United States at large. In order for our client’s case to be successful, we submitted extensive documentation proving his highly significant contributions to his field, including 6 peer-reviewed journal articles, a book chapter, three reports, a conference paper and two preprints under review by the time we file the case. His publications had been cited at least 58 times at the time we filed the case; nearly all of the citations were by independent researchers around the world, demonstrating that these publications are widely recognized and relied upon in the field.  The importance of his work was confirmed in the following quote from an independent recommender, “[Client] proposed a numerical inversion algorithm based on model order reduction with parameters used to define a preconditioned optimization functional for the iterative solution of the inverse problem. The pre-conditioner resolved the majority of the problem’s non-linearity, meaning the iterations were less frequently caught in the local minima. [Client’s] technique is revolutionarily economical as it avoids costly repeated simulations of the forward problem. Solved on a very large scale, his improvements to the use of reduced models in inversion have greatly enhanced the ability of geophysicists to efficiently conduct the exploration and obtain accurate images of the subsurface structure.”  Through extensive documentation, we were able to successfully argue that our client would serve the national interest to a significantly greater degree than others with similar education and experience. His NIW petition was approved in 5 months and 7 days.
