Case Summary:

In this case, the client that we had the opportunity to work with was an Advanced Applications Engineer from China in the field of Computer Science. Her specialized research has focused on enhancing low-dose computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures for both time and quality performance on GPUs. Her work had resulted in 28 peer-reviewed scientific articles, 11 presentations at national and international conferences including several GPU tutorials; at the time that her case was filed, her publications had been cited at least 198 times by independent and leading researchers from prestigious institutions and organizations around the world, indicating the major significance of her work. She had also reviewed 28 manuscripts for distinctive, internationally-circulated journals.  Her superior level of expertise was confirmed in the following quote from an independent recommender, “She creatively replaced two fields of the non-local means (NLM) filter and incorporated a pair of reference images containing similar anatomical or pathological information… Her filters tremendously improved the quality of CT scans and worked better than regular NLM.
