Case Summary:
A little over 6 months after we filed an EB-1B (Outstanding Professors and Researchers) petition on behalf of our client, he received notification of case approval. Born in India, our client is an assistant professor whose research focuses on special education. The many years that he has spent in the field have resulted in a variety of career milestones. These include, but are not limited to, an impressive citation count and notable publication record. When we filed the case, these numbers stood at 334 citations, and 7 scientific articles, 4 book chapters, and 9 presentations at national and international conferences.
Not only has our client displayed an aptitude for churning out useful research results (as seen by his aforementioned citation and publication record), he is also an expert at assessing the work of others. At the time of writing, he had already conducted 7 peer reviews for 3 well-known scientific journals. As only leaders in the field are invited to judge the work of others, our client’s peer review experience speaks volumes of his high standing as a special education expert.
Because EB-1B is an employer-sponsored visa category, our client had to garner his university’s full support before hiring North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com). Once he got the green light, an attorney-client relationship was established. Part of our services included narrowing down a list of potential recommenders for our client. We made sure that these recommenders had worked with our client, had cited his work, and/or were familiar with his research results. When our client approached them, the five shortlisted candidates gladly signed recommendation letters that verified the value of his research on improving the education of individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and other developmental disabilities through assistive technologies. These letters also briefly explained the benefits of our client’s work to the nation, most notably when teaching ASD students literacy, communication skills, and social skills. According to one of his recommenders, our client “…has made exceptional entries into research for educating those afflicted with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).”
We congratulate our client for securing an EB-1B petition approval, and we wish him the best as he continues to obtain research results that benefit not just his university but the United States as a whole.
