Case Summary:
An associate scientist from Turkey hired North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) to help her secure a green card. There are two steps in the green card process: filing an I-140 petition and an I-485 application. When it came to the first step, we determined that our client should file her I-140 petition under EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver). To secure the national interest waiver, we built our client’s case to adhere to Matter of Dhanasar, the analytical framework for assessing eligibility for “national interest waivers”.
After several months of hard work, we put together an NIW petition that highlighted the following:
- Her Ph.D. in Chemistry and Molecular Sciences.
- The 18 times her work had been cited by dependent and independent researchers.

Just 3 months and 17 days after we filed our client’s NIW petition, the USCIS sent her notification of case approval. We would like to thank our client for selecting us to represent her case.
