Case Summary:

The client that North America Immigration Law Group – WeGreened.com had the opportunity to work with in this case was a Graduate Research Assistant from Iran.  His research had focused specifically on the use of resistive switching devices for the development of novel computing paradigms. We successfully demonstrated that his continued employment in the field would benefit those in his field, as well as the citizens of the United States at large. In order for our client’s case to be successful, we submitted extensive documentation proving his highly significant contributions to his field, including 11 peer-reviewed journal articles and numerous conference papers. His publications had been cited at least 106 times at the time we filed the case;nearly all of the citations were by independent researchers around the world, demonstrating that these publications are widely recognized and relied upon in the field.  The expansive applications of his work was confirmed in the following quote from an independent recommender, “Scientists like [him] engineer neuromorphic devices to simulate the functioning of the human brain in computers. As the human brain exhibits extraordinary computing power and learning capacities, the creation of neuromorphic systems will simultaneously revolutionize computing processing methods while allowing scientists, for the first time in history, to thoroughly map out how the human brain works. These projects are nationally and internationally crucial; soon, the use of nanotechnology and neuromorphic systems will allow insights into neurological disorders like autism, will reveal the properties of the processes of perception and cognition, and will lead to the development of treatments for brain traumas and disorders that affect the lives of innumerable citizens.”  Through extensive documentation, we were able to successfully argue that our client would serve the national interest to a significantly greater degree than others with similar education and experience. His NIW petition was approved in 4 months and 23 days.
