Client’s Testimonial:
“Thanks for your excellent work.”
On February 9th, 2021, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Research Associate in the Field of Topology Optimization (Approval Notice).
General Field: Topology Optimization
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Research Associate
Country of Origin: China
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Washington
Approval Notice Date: February 9th, 2021
Processing Time: 7 months, 18 days
Case Summary:
When a research associate from China, adept in the field of topology optimization asked us to help him file an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition to represent his case, as a part of our legal services, we began analyzing his credentials and observed that he held a Ph.D. in civil engineering and many years of substantial experience researching the field. Undoubtedly, we were impressed by his noteworthy expertise in the field. He certainly deserved the national interest waiver, and to lead him to the NIW success, it was imperative for us to build a persuasive case on his behalf.
Our client hired North America Immigration Law Group as he was sure that we would compile the most relevant information and customize his I-140 NIW petition accordingly. Having stated that, the below-mentioned details are some of the bits we added to our presentation:
We elaborated on his research which focuses on developing methods for topology optimization in order to design improved structural and material systems. His research is therefore of great importance because it contributes to the development of more mechanically sound structural and material systems. Structural failure occurs when the weak or weakened material in a structure causes it to collapse.
We also detailed his significant publication background, the 22 peer-reviewed journal articles (13 of them first-authored) and 2 first-authored conference papers which altogether garnered 417 citations, signifying that his work has a major influence on other scholars in the field of topology optimization.
Additionally, we recorded that he has already conducted 54 reviews for the most distinguishing journals, and only because of his great knowledge and expertise in the field, he has been regularly invited to conduct peer reviews.
Furthermore, we highlighted his research’s importance that has been recognized by leading U.S. agencies. His proposed project received funding from the National Science Foundation, which shows that the United States has already conceded the merits of investing in his work and has found that it lines up with national interests.
We also added four recommendation letters to support his case further. Our client obtained these letters from fellow experts in the field, confirming his work is absolutely essential in preventing mass casualties from natural disasters at a low cost and a high-efficiency level. Therefore, one of them stated the following:
“[Client’s] multiscale and Multiphysics topology framework optimizes the creation of inelastic structural and material systems, which is an important development for keeping the United States at the forefront of aerospace research in the world…He is invaluable for creating more efficient rockets and aircraft that cost the United States government less in the long term and yet keep aircraft and spacecraft passengers safe.”
Finally, our client was granted NIW approval within 7 months and 18 days, without any RFE issuance. We had the pleasure to help our client throughout the process and thank him for choosing us. We would also like to congratulate him on this milestone.
