The client in this case was a postdoctoral research associate in the field of synthetic chemistry. His work had primarily focused on the development of polymers for energy related applications and the understanding of frustrated Lewis pairs (FLPs) for their use as catalysts. His work had resulted in at least 8 peer-reviewed journal publications and 9 conference proceedings.  At the time that his case was filed, his publications had accumulated at least 225 citations, clearly demonstrating that he had influenced his field and garnered international acclaim.  In addition, he had conducted 3 paper reviews for journals related to the field of synthetic chemistry.
