The client in this case was a postdoctoral researcher from China in the field of precision engineering. He had specialized in (1) advanced manufacturing, precision manufacturing, micro/nano fabrication; (2) optics; and (3) biomedical engineering. His work had resulted in at least 21 peer-reviewed scientific articles in leading journals, 1 invited article, 7 published conference proceedings and 2 patents.  At the time that his case was filed, his publications had accumulated at least 224 citations, clearly demonstrating that he had influenced his field and garnered international acclaim.  In addition, various experts and editors had consistently requested his service as a peer reviewer for 10 of the most elite international publications in his field of expertise.
