Case Summary:

The client that North America Immigration Law Group – WeGreened.com had the opportunity to work with in this case was a Research Associate from India.  His work had focused specifically on drug design. As a pharmaceutical scientist, he had identified the small molecule inhibitors for N⁵-CAIR synthetase, shown that de novo purine biosynthesis is different in microbes than in humans, developed a robust assay for Mtb APR, and developed a methodology for characterization of G-quadruplex structure, among many other impressive achievements.  We successfully demonstrated that his employment in the field would benefit those in his field, as well as the citizens of the United States at large. In order for our client’s case to be successful, we submitted extensive documentation proving his highly significant contributions to his field, including at least 13 peer-reviewed journal articles and numerous conference papers.  These publications had been cited at least 115 times at the time of case filing, nearly all of which were cited by independent researchers around the world, demonstrating that these publications are widely recognized and relied upon in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.  The influence of his research was confirmed in the following quote from an independent recommender, “With a diverse expertise in molecular modeling, structure activity relationship studies, enzymology and medicinal chemistry, antimicrobial drug design, and the synthesis of nucleoside analogues. [He] has an extensive background in pharmaceutical sciences and biochemistry. His admirable results have led to improved methodologies and therapeutics, and greatly increased the breadth of understanding in drug design, chemistry, and biology. [He] has thus been a direct benefit to health care, making him an irreplaceable addition to the pharmaceutical research community in the United States.”  Through extensive documentation, we were able to successfully argue that our client would serve the national interest to a significantly greater degree than others with similar education and experience. His NIW petition was approved in 5 months and 13 days.
