In this case, the client that we had the opportunity to work with was an Assistant Staff Scientist from China in the field of Pharmacology.  His specialized research had focused on diabetes and its complications, including diabetic nephrophathy, diabetic cardiomyopathy, and atherosclerosis. His work had resulted in 11 peer-reviewed scientific articles and 5 presentations at national and international conferences; at the time that his case was filed, his publications had been cited at least 264 times by independent and leading researchers from prestigious institutions and organizations around the world, indicating the major significance of his work.  He had also reviewed 18 manuscripts for distinctive, internationally-circulated journals.  His superior level of expertise was confirmed in the following quote from an independent recommender, “[…][Client] has developed a new genetic method to activate the smooth muscle cells in mice and produce more human-like atherosclerosis over the last three years. [Client] found that activated smooth muscle cells intensely increase the initiation of atherosclerosis and support the development of advanced plaques with vulnerable features.
