Client’s Testimonial:
“Good morning. Thank you for email. I am very happy to inform you that I have been received the I-140 approval notice from USCIS also. Thanks for your all co-operation. I really appreciate the way you work and your best professionalism. […] Again I am very lucky to have you with me. I really happy and wish to congratulate you to handle my case confidently.”
On May 3rd, 2016, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Research Associate in the Field of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Approval Notice).
General Field: Pharmaceutical Sciences
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Research Associate
Country of Origin: Bangladesh
Service Center: Texas Service Center (TSC)
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: New York
Approval Notice Date: May 3rd, 2016
Processing Time: 9 months, 3 days
Case Summary:
A recent client of ours was described as “…a biomedical researcher of considerable ability. Her findings have profound significance to the international community of oncological researchers and to the nation’s healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. This wide influence marks [Client] as being an especially outstanding scientist.”
The quote above is excerpted from a recommendation letter contributed by a well-known clinical scientist. He was not alone in this strong show of support for our client and was joined by three other expert pharmaceutical scientists, all of whom signed recommendation letters. These letters were incorporated into our client’s EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition dossier which North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) submitted to the USCIS on her behalf.
What else did the petition contain?
Besides recommendation letters, our client’s comprehensive EB-2 NIW petition packet was composed of details on her pharmaceutical science research. We noted her identification of novel biomarkers for the development of enhanced targeted drug delivery systems as well as other innovative findings. We demonstrated to the USCIS that our client’s work impacts the American healthcare industry and overall public well-being. Further research efforts are contributing to the country’s oncological research community by directly targeting tumor endothelial cells to halt the pathogenesis of the deadly disease. With a Ph.D. in Pharmacy and a myriad of professional achievements under her belt, our client is undoubtedly a leading light in the field. Her work has resulted in the publication of 14 journal articles, one book chapter, and numerous conference papers, all of which had amassed 206 citations when we filed the case.
Filing I-485 applications while the I-140 is pending approval:
The USCIS spent 9 months and 3 days adjudicating our client’s EB-2 NIW petition before granting their approval. A little over a month later, our client received news that her and her family’s I-485 applications had been approved. As the final step in the green card process, an approved I-485 means that our client and her dependents are now official U.S. permanent residents. The reason why they only waited a month between approval notices is because our client chose to file her I-485 application while her I-140 EB-2 NIW was pending approval. Although many green card applicants tend to wait for the I-140 to be approved before filing an I-485 application, our client saved between 4-9 months doing what she did. We congratulate her and her family for obtaining their green cards, and we wish them the very best as they embark on their exciting new journey as American permanent residents.
