Case Summary:

A respected engineer working in the field of mechanical engineering approached North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) to file an EB-1B (Outstanding Professors and Researchers) petition on his behalf. However, as an employer-sponsored visa category, he had to garner his company’s full support before hiring us. Once our client received his employer’s approval, we proceeded to put together a strong EB-1B case for him. These are some of the petition’s stand-out points:

1. We highlighted our client’s 7 peer-reviewed journal articles and 8 peer-reviewed conference articles. Using these numbers, we demonstrated that his work has been recognized as some of the best in the field, particularly since his publications appeared in high-impact scientific journals.
2. Our client’s citation count was also detailed. According to Google Scholar and other similar sites such as Scopus, our client’s work had gathered 59 citations at the time of filing. We proved to the USCIS that his work has been consistently cited more than one would expect from an average researcher in the field of mechanical engineering.
3. Other supporting evidence such as our client’s peer review record (21 instances of peer review service) as well as his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering were also noted.
4. We also incorporated 6 recommendation letters contributed by other experts in the field. These letters advocated for the approval of our client’s EB-1B petition and contained statements such as this one: “…it is clear that [Client] stands among the most qualified and valuable researchers in the field of mechanical engineering, and his work holds virtually priceless industrial and environmental benefits.”
5. Last but not least, we detailed our client’s work on developing new strategies to improve fluid flow in turbomachines and pump systems. In a nutshell, we convinced the USCIS that our client’s work is of extreme importance to the United States.

Despite the presentation of a strong EB-1B case, the USCIS issued a Request for Evidence (RFE). Our expert team responded to the RFE in an efficient and prompt manner, which eventually led to case approval.
