Client’s Testimonial:
“Thanks very much for all the great service you have offered.”
On February 3rd, 2021 and April 1st, 2021, we received another EB-1B (Outstanding Professors and Researchers) and EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Research Fellow in the Field of Molecular Biology (Approval Notice).
General Field: Molecular Biology
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Research Fellow
Country of Origin: China
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Massachusetts
Approval Notice Date: February 3rd, 2021 (EB-1B) and April 1st, 2021 (EB2-NIW)
Processing Time: 8 months (EB-1B) and 14 months (EB2-NIW)
Case Summary:
A research fellow from China initially engaged our professional service to help her in filing an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition, however, to increase her chances to get the approval, she chose to retain our services for filing another petition under EB-1B (Outstanding Professors and Researchers) visa category. Many petitioners file more than one petition as it leads them closer to receiving the green card, and we are fairly happy to help our client obtain both the petition approvals less than 2 months apart.
We began working on our client’s EB-2 NIW petition at first. Even if both the NIW and EB1B visa categories are distinctly different, we prepared the cases containing similarities as our priority was to exhibit her excellent academic and professional experience, and unsurpassed knowledge relevant to her current and future work. Thus, we listed the following:
Academic Accolades: We noted that our client held a Ph.D. in biochemistry and has been performing research in the field of molecular biology for at least 3 years. Her distinguished academic background sets her apart from her peers in the field and has secured her reputation as an outstanding researcher in the international community of molecular biology.
Professional Accomplishments: Additionally, we highlighted how our client’s strong academic background laid the foundation for her current position as a research fellow, and her work gathered 61 citations from the 10 peer-reviewed journal articles publications to her name. These articles have been published in high-impact and internationally circulated journals, proving her work being widely recognized in the field of molecular biology and her continued research is significant throughout the world. Moreover, we observed that she had already conducted 10 peer reviews to date, confirming her striking peer-review contribution to the scientific community as a judge of the work of others.
Research Outcome: To represent a strong case to the USCIS, it was inevitable for us to add the significance of her proposed research work, which focused on disease diagnosis and treatment. We reviewed her work and deduced that her research addresses some of our nation’s most pressing issues in understanding the molecular mechanisms contributing to the development of diseases like cancer and polycystic kidney disease. Her findings have molded the understanding of kidney disease for many, and her continued research in the U.S. will produce more sustained successes in the future.
Recommendation Letters: As our client’s NIW and EB-1B petitions were filed only 4 months apart, therefore, we utilized the same five recommendation letters obtained by other well-recognized researchers in the field to support both the petitions. The following statement about our client’s outstanding position in the field has been taken from one of the letters:
“[Client’s] research has been the subject of great acclaim and her findings prove that her research has served as an important reference point for additional studies in the field of molecular biology.”
