Client’s Testimonial:
“It was amazing working with Chen Associates for the NIW and EB1 applications. The lawyers at the firm were very detailed, efficient and swift in their work. You can see the effort and professionalism they put for developing the petition and recommendation letters. If I have to choose again, I will choose them without any reservation.”
On May 4th, 2022, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Field of Chemical Engineering (Approval Notice).
General Field: Chemical Engineering
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Tenure-track Assistant Professor
Country of Origin: India
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: California
Approval Notice Date: May 4th, 2022
Processing Time: 13 months, 22 days
Case Summary:
An expert in the field of chemical engineering, a client from India came to us in March of 2021. His proposed endeavor was to continue developing novel mathematical methods and data analysis techniques that characterize and maximize the inherent safety and resilience of systems in order to design safer and sustainable solutions for issues involving workplace safety and chemical safety. He was working as a tenure-track assistant professor in the field when he came to us. Being familiar with the process we moved swiftly to aid him in getting all relevant paperwork together, followed by building a reliable petition for his NIW (National Interest Waiver) case.
While building his case we asked him to gather recommendations from other experts in the field corroborating the value of his past, ongoing and proposed work. This he was able to do and of the following excerpts are taken from them to illustrate how we at NAILG pay attention to these details for our clients:
“[Client’s]work is especially significant today because of the increasing size, complexity, and global integration of supply chains. While these factors have expanded the scope and improved the quality of goods available to consumers worldwide, they also combine to make supply chains fragile. [Client’s] contributions facilitate enhanced supply chain planning, thereby increasing the resilience of those networks to safety incidents and other unexpected mishaps. [Client’s] research on supply chains is also beneficial to the United States.”
“[Client’s] ongoing research also addresses safety issues for various chemicals used in the United States, such as propane. For reference, more than 10% of U.S. homes currently rely on propane. Therefore, it is evident that U.S. consumers must be informed on the hazards, consequences, and risks of propane gas use in order to prevent chemical incidents and hazard-related fatalities. [Client’s] ongoing work ultimately assists in achieving this goal as well.”
On the other hand, his research has resulted in 4 peer-reviewed journal articles (3 of them first-authored). Moreover, one of these papers has been published in a top journal in the field, reflecting his peers’ recognition of the value of this research. Not only has he successfully completed and published the results of his research in the field, but his research has also gone on to influence his peers. That is, his publications have been cited a total of 101 times. He has also completed at least 45 reviews to date. Given that only the most highly esteemed researchers in the field are invited to evaluate the work of their peers, especially in notable journals like these, it is clear that he is seen as very knowledgeable in the field and an expert in topics related to his proposed endeavor.
Thus, we are proud of having been given the opportunity to help him in this case and we thank him for retaining us for his EB1-A petition too.
