In this case, the client that we had the opportunity to work with was a research associate from India in the field of biochemistry. He had conducted his research in the highly specialized area focusing on characterizing therapeutic proteins and protein drug interaction involved in complex diseases (cancer, diabetes etc.) with the help of biophysical (mass spectrometry, crystallography etc.) and biochemical techniques. His work had resulted in 17 peer-reviewed scientific articles published in leading journals and numerous presentations at national and international conferences and seminars; at the time that his case was filed, his publications had been cited at least 152 times by independent and leading researchers from prestigious institutions and organizations around the world, indicating the major significance of his work. He had also reviewed 29 manuscripts for at least 13 distinctive, internationally-circulated journals.
