On March 11th, 2021, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Research Assistant in the Field of Electrical Engineering (Approval Notice).
General Field: Electrical Engineering
Position at the Time of Case Filing: Research Assistant (Ph.D. Candidate)
Country of Origin: Bangladesh
State of Residence at the Time of Filing: North Dakota
Approval Notice Date: March 11th, 2021
Processing Time: 7 months, 3 days
Case Summary:
With a master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering, without an ounce of doubt our client, a research assistant from Bangladesh is capable of continuing research in his field. His work has marshaled several achievements, including the 6 peer-reviewed journal articles (3 of them first-authored) and 16 conference papers (8 of them accepted and 6 of them first-authored) which gathered a total of 21 citations and the 15 times our client judged the work of her peers.
While preparing his case, we evaluated his research on investigating transformation electromagnetics/optics, engineered electromagnetic materials, and electronically tunable materials in order to develop complex media and arbitrary geometry conformal antennas and optical devices. We gathered a wealth of information that proved his findings are relevant because it furthers scientific knowledge on electromagnetic and electronically tunable materials, leading to the enhancement of wireless communication technology, including smart radar systems, military and space defense systems, the electric power grid, and wearable electronic devices.
The introductory accomplishments from our client’s career were adeptly incorporated into his NIW petition packet. To strengthen his case further, we advised him to obtain recommendation letters from other well-known experts in the field. One of the five recommendation letters he collected, had the below-mentioned excerpt:
“The development of a smart electronic phased array scanning technique is capable of addressing each of these issues contained within American radar networks and is thus an imperative research goal in the electrical engineering field. It is this situation that makes the work of [client] of such critical importance to the United States.”
We are delighted that the USCIS was convinced to approve the petition without an RFE, and we thank our client for trusting us to build his case for the national interest waiver petition. Also, the entire team congratulates him on this milestone. We are also happy that our client trusted us for his adjustment of status (I-485) application.
