Client’s Testimonial:

“Thank you very much for all your support!!”

On March 17th, 2021, we received another EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) approval for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Field of Social Neuroscience (Approval Notice).

General Field: Social Neuroscience

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Country of Origin: China

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Massachusetts

Approval Notice Date: March 17th, 2021

Processing Time: 4 months, 6 days (Premium Processing Requested)

Case Summary:

A postdoctoral research fellow based in Massachusetts and armed with a Ph.D. in psychology contacted our legal firm to build an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) representing her petition. We aimed to evaluate her testimonies and ascertain her extraordinary ability to continue her research here in the United States. After the assessment, we were sure of her abilities to be a fitting candidate to obtain the EB-1A approval. Accordingly, we agreed to the attorney-client agreement. We represented the below-mentioned details in her petition packet:

Research Brief: We abstracted our client’s research on identifying the neurocognitive principles underlying higher mental functions in social communication in order to improve communication efficiency and has already greatly advanced the national interest through her development of non-invasive and ecologically valid neuroimaging methods for studying the neural mechanisms involved in social communication and interpersonal interactions. Her research addresses some of our world’s most pressing issues, including the improved early diagnosis and intervention of stuttering disorders, the enhancement of communication in modern social interactions, and the development of better leadership and stronger interpersonal interactions that are vital to business success.

Publication & Peer-Review Experience: We listed the 10 peer-reviewed journal articles (6 first-authored and 1 co-first-authored) she published. Her works have been published in some of the most top-ranked journals in her field. These journals are extremely selective with a rigorous peer-review process, making publication in them a unique accomplishment attained by only the very best researchers in the field. Furthermore, we observed that our client had also reviewed 6 articles of her peers, confirming that only the greatest experts in their field are invited to perform this major review work. These facts demonstrate her important standing in the field of social neuroscience.

Citation Count: We noted the 521 citations her works accumulated from top-notch experts in the field. Her publications have been cited in at least 40 countries according to Google Scholar, highlighting the broad recognition. Upon reviewing her citation record, it is clear that she has driven significant progress in understanding the effects of speaker gaze on information coupling, the underlying biology of shared intentionality, and the utility of functional near-infrared spectroscopy in cognitive neuroscience and social interaction studies.

Recommendation Letters: To make her case strong further, we consolidated four recommendation letters in her petition packet, our client obtained the letters from fellow expert researchers, validating our client’s substantial achievements in her area. As stated by one of the recommenders:

“[Client’s]work on the categorization of stuttering symptom subtypes based on brain activity is a crucial step toward the greater comprehension of the specific effects of stuttering on the brain. Her research is therefore critical to the treatment of stuttering and to national health interests in the United States.”

Within 4 months and 6 days, our client achieved her EB-1A approval. Our team would like to thank her for retaining our services for the EB-1A petition after her NIW approval. We are pleased to assist her throughout the journey.

On March 20th, 2020, we received another NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Part-time Lecturer in the Field of Sociology (Approval Notice).

General Field: Sociology

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Part-time Lecturer

Country of Origin: Tajikistan

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: New Jersey

Approval Notice Date: March 20th, 2020

Processing Time: 10 months, 14 days

Case Summary:

A part-time lecturer hired North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) to file an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition on his behalf. With a Ph.D. in sociology and extensive experience researching the same field, our client was suitably qualified for this visa category.

What does it take to build a strong NIW case?

  • We documented our client’s citation count (43 citations at the time of filing) as well as his publication record (9 peer-reviewed journal articles (7 of them first-authored), 1 book chapter, and 1 book review). We also reviewed his research summary and demonstrated to the USCIS that his work is focused on understanding personal and political representations of Islam in national and global contexts. His research in this area is of great importance because it has helped elucidate the complex dynamics of religion-state relations in post-Soviet Central Asian countries and emphasize the existence of stratification and systematic differences among Muslim Americans. . Our client’s second area of research has focused on health disparities and health policies in post-Soviet Central Asian countries, in particular on HIV/AIDS awareness and its correlation to safe health practices.
  • In addition to that, our client’s winning EB-2 NIW petition dossier contained five recommendation letters that strongly advocated for the approval of his case. These letters were contributed by other experts working in the field of sociology, one of whom described our client’s work as:

“By fully investigating how strong and weak state policies correlate with different types of religious isomorphism in post-Soviet Central Asian countries, [client] has presented new knowledge about the widespread sociological factors influencing religious and secular educational activities throughout a large portion of the world.”

The final step in the green card process:

The USCIS spent 10 months and 14 days adjudicating our client’s EB-2 NIW petition before granting the approval. We congratulate our client on this milestone and wish him the best as he continues to advance the field of sociology with his dedicated work.

“Thank you for your great work on my I-140 case. It was an honor for me as well to work with your firm.”

On March 19th, 2020, we received another NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Researcher in the Field of Educational Psychology (Approval Notice).

General Field: Educational Psychology

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Researcher

Country of Origin: Iran

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Alabama

Approval Notice Date: March 19th, 2020

Processing Time: 10 months, 10 days

Case Summary:

Nearly 10 months and 10 days after North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreened.com) filed an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition for an Iranian researcher, the USCIS granted his approval. After evaluating his credentials and extensive experience specializing in educational psychology, we were confident that our client met the National Interest Waiver requirements set by Matter of DHANASAR.

As we have successfully petitioned over 16,000 I-140 cases, we applied our experience to our client’s case and highlighted his work on the biological mechanisms of cognition and learning. Relevant evidence was submitted to demonstrate that our client’s research has immense social and economic benefits. Besides, his many years of experience in the field of educational psychology has led to 4 publications, the 42 times his works were cited by other researchers, and the 4 times our client judged the work of his peers-these impressive records were also included in the petition package.

To further strengthen our client’s NIW petition, we included strong letters of support from other prominent researchers in the field. This is what one of the fellow experts in the field noted in his letter of support: “Therefore, it is crucial that educators encourage an active and proactive participation in the learning process, as well as instill critical thinking skills in their students. [Client’s] research identifies and addresses the challenges in current educational practice in order to produce a generation of students who are well-prepared and possess in-depth and discerning learning capabilities.”

With our unique methods to customize our client’s petition, we were able to include necessary documentary evidence and expert testimonies and successfully argue that our client would greatly benefit the development of his field, as well as the United States at large. We congratulate him with the I-140 approval, and thank him for choosing us for his I-485 application.

“Thank you very much for all your help!”

On February 20th, 2020, we received another NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Psychometrician in the Field of Psychometrics (Approval Notice).

General Field: Psychometrics

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Psychometrician

Country of Origin: China

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: North Carolina

Approval Notice Date: February 20th, 2020

Processing Time: 9 months, 23 days

Case Summary:

Based in North Carolina, our client holds a doctoral degree in Quantitative Psychology, has extensive experience in the field of psychometrics, and is undoubtedly an outstanding researcher. His consistent contributions to the field made him a suitable candidate for EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver), and after determining that we could help him build a solid case, we gathered an array of evidence to support the petition. While collecting relevant documentation, our team collaborated with our client closely with efficient and targeted communication which specifically addressed our client’s concerns towards the NIW preparation process. With our help, his petition was approved in 9 months and 23 days.

Our client is an expert in the field of psychometrics, as he proposes to continue his research on the development and evaluation of measurement equivalence testing methods, with an emphasis on the detection of differentially functioning items in a multiple-group or longitudinal context. In the petition letter, customized by our dedicated team, we addressed the 85 times his 4 peer-reviewed journal articles (2 of them first-authored) and a cited master’s thesis were cited, his experience of judging the work of his peers as well as the importance of our client’s research. His research in this area is of great importance because it involves ensuring the validity and accuracy of patient-reported outcomes (PROs). PROs are utilized by health care providers to collect accurate data regarding patients’ health status, and therefore make informed decisions about the appropriate treatment plan for each patient. By focusing on the development, evaluation, and advancement of accessible patient-reported outcomes surveys, our client has contributed to the formation of cancer policies around the world.

As with all our clients, we advised him on the process of selecting suitable recommenders and obtaining their testimonials. These testimonials supported the approval of our client’s NIW petition and contained strong statements such as: “Impressively, this work represents only a small part of [client’s] contributions, as he has consistently produced valuable insights and methodologies for advancements in patient-reported outcomes research related to various harmful conditions while simultaneously advancing the field of psychometrics. In the process, [client’s] collective work has been a significant driver in efforts to improve health outcomes research around the world.”

We are pleased that our efforts paved the way for our client’s NIW petition approval. We congratulate him for completing this significant first step in the green card process, and we thank him for trusting us.

Client’s Testimonial:

“Thanks a lot for your time and effort.”

On January 29th, 2020, we received another NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for an Assistant Professor in the Field of Psychology (Approval Notice).

General Field: Psychology

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Assistant Professor

Country of Origin: Turkey

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: South Dakota

Approval Notice Date: January 29th, 2020

Processing Time: 9 months, 8 days

Case Summary:

An assistant professor from Turkey hired North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) to file his NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition on his behalf. Our client is an expert in the field of psychology who has worked tirelessly on human behavior and attitudes in organizations. To convince the USCIS of the national importance of his work, we adopted the line of argument that his research significantly enhances the efficiency and performance of employees. Therefore, his expertise in this area is of inherent benefit to a plethora of organizations across the nation and around the world. We worked diligently to prove that our client’s findings are directly linked to job performance and how it naturally benefits the United States workforce and economy.

Among other things, we listed the 7 peer-reviewed journal articles (4 of them first-authored) and 1 Letter to the Editor (first-authored) published by our client. We also listed the 31 times his work was cited by other researchers in the field. It is unquestionable that our client is highly regarded in his field. We also included the 7 times he judged the work of his peers.

Our client’s NIW petition was further strengthened by 6 recommendation letters that were signed by other notable researchers and experts in the field. One of these recommenders recognized our client as “It is no overstatement to say that [client] has unique and uncommonly strong insight into how the employment hierarchy and responsibility chain of a government agency should be formed to reach maximum performance. As a result, he is clearly a national asset within the field.”

Although our client had a strong case, the USCIS issued an RFE to which we responded promptly and successfully dealt with the hurdles. We truly appreciate our client for trusting us with the preparation of his NIW case and for giving us an opportunity to file the I-485 applications for him and his family. We wish him the best as he continues to work in the United States.

Client’s Testimonial:

“It’s been a wonderful experience working with this firm. They were very professional and provided excellent guidance. Before I worked with the firm, I thought EB1B was only awarded to those in the natural science, especially in health sciences/engineering. The firm helped identify the strengths of my research and did an excellent job in putting my entire petition together.”

On September 12th, 2019, we received another EB-1B (Outstanding Professors and Researchers) approval for a an Assistant Professor in the Field of Psychology (Approval Notice).

General Field: Psychology

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Assistant Professor

Country of Origin: India

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: Pennsylvania

Approval Notice Date: September 12th, 2019

Processing Time: 3 Days (Premium Processing Requested)

Case Summary:

A prominent assistant professor from India clinched EB-1B (Outstanding Professors and Researchers) petition approval just 3 days after North America Immigration Law Group (NAILG) filed it on her behalf. The reason for such rapid adjudication is due to Premium Processing (PP), a service offered by the USCIS that allows petitioners to have action taken on their cases within 15 calendar days.

To qualify for EB-1B, an I-140 subcategory of priority workers, we essentially had to demonstrate that our client had achieved international recognition as being an outstanding professor in the field of psychology. We also had to prove that she had more than 3 years of research experience along with ongoing employment from her American employer—a well-known university who is willing to petition her case. Once we received confirmation from our client and her employer, our team went on to build a strong case to prove that she has reached the top of the field and her investigations are essential to the country.

Our client’s research has focused on cultural psychology and on how immigration and social attitudes are shaped via selective engagement with historical narratives. She has developed a state-of-the-art model for cultural and social psychology research, which provides valuable insights to experts and policymakers regarding the formation of identities and the cultivation of good relationships between different groups. In the petition letter our team drafted, we detailed her PhD in social psychology, 6 peer-reviewed journal articles and 1 conference article. Leaving no stone unturned, we also listed the 73 citations gathered from her work and the 50 times she assessed the work of her peers for a handful of highly acclaimed journals. We left no room for doubt that our client deserved to have her EB-1B petition approved.

To further strengthen the case, we urged our client to gather recommendation letters from several of her peers. We needed other experts in the field to confirm the value of our client’s research not just to psychology researchers in the US, but also to those based around the world. To our delight, our client returned with six signed letters, and according to one of them, “[Client]’s research on this topic provides crucial benefits for the international social psychology research community. Accordingly, her work has been widely implemented. (…) These citations underscore the influential nature of [Client]’s research on this subject.”

The approval of this EB-1B petition is yet another example of our firm’s excellent record of helping our clients get closer to US permanent residency. We look forward to helping her obtain a green card, and we guarantee our continued support the rest of the way.

You made us really proud!”

On February 19th, 2016, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Ph.D. Candidate in the Field of Social Science (Approval Notice).

General Field: Social Science

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Ph.D. Candidate

Country of Origin: Nepal

Service Center: Nebraska Service Center (NSC)

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: N/A

Approval Notice Date: February 19th, 2016

Processing Time: 7 months, 11 days

Case Summary:

This EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) case involved a Ph.D. candidate immersed in the field of social science. His case was adjudicated by Nebraska Service Center, who granted their approval a little over seven months after North America Immigration Law Group filed the case.

As the attorney-on-record, we took great care to compile a strong EB-2 NIW petition that contained a myriad of information on our client’s achievements. For instance, we detailed his five published papers and the 54 citations that they had gathered at the time of filing. We also listed the handful of peer reviews that our client conducted for 3 scientific journals. To bolster our NIW case, we encouraged our client to request experts in the field of social science to furnish us with recommendation letters. He received six letters, one of which stated that “The need for such a multitalented researcher and advocate as [Client] cannot be underestimated; indeed, his efforts help support the United States’ ability to stimulate socioeconomic and ecological growth overseas as well as the nation’s management of its own vital natural resources . . .”

To further illustrate our law firm’s efficiency, we raised a service request on our client’s behalf once the timeline went beyond the average processing time. We handled all communication with the USCIS, giving our client the opportunity to focus on his important work on the sustainable management of forest resources, conservation of biodiverse ecosystems, advancement of global climate change mitigation efforts and preparedness strategies, and promotion of healthy and inclusive governance in indigenous communities.

As our client is currently not residing in the United States, he and his dependents have to apply for Immigrant Visa Processing (IVP) at an American embassy or consulate. Only once that is approved can they enter the United States as permanent residents. We wish them well with this final green card procedure.

On January 28th, 2016, we received another EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) approval for a Visiting Fellow in the Field of Sociology (Approval Notice).

General Field: Sociology

Position at the Time of Case Filing: Visiting Fellow

Country of Origin: China

Service Center: Texas Service Center (TSC)

State of Residence at the Time of Filing: New Jersey

Approval Notice Date: January 28th, 2016

Processing Time: 5 months, 4 days

Case Summary:

Not long ago, North America Immigration Law Group (WeGreeened.com) filed an EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition for a visiting fellow. Our client, who obtained her master’s and doctoral degrees in sociology, possessed the educational background and professional experience necessary to qualify for EB-2 NIW.

As part of our services, we compiled a detailed petition packet that demonstrated the value of our client’s research to the United States. Her work focuses on demography and environmental sociology (with a concentration on immigration), family formation and fertility, and the links between an aging population and the environment. We argued that her research is essential to the United States in terms of implementing future developments and social policies.

In addition to detailing our client’s research, we highlighted her 7 publications and 20 citations. We also included recommendation letters contributed by experts in her field of sociology. One of these experts wrote, “These issues are all essential to protecting our environment and our society in order to leave future generations a healthy and sustainable one, and [Client’s] work in this regard is making great strides in allowing us to do so.”

Although our client was living in the United States when we filed her I-140, she has since returned to her birth country of China. She is currently waiting for her priority date to become current before she applies for Immigrant Visa Processing (the final step toward a green card for those living outside the United States). We wish her all the best in her journey.

Her work has focused specifically in the area of new product development and brand management, aiming to improve product aesthetics, brand logos, and brand attachment. We successfully demonstrated that her continued employment in the field would benefit those in her field, as well as the citizens of the United States at large. In order for our client’s case to be successful, we submitted extensive documentation proving her highly significant contributions to her field, including 4 peer-reviewed journal articles and numerous conference papers. Her publications had been cited at least 28 times at the time we filed the case; nearly all of the citations were by independent researchers around the world, demonstrating that these publications are widely recognized and relied upon in the field.  The importance of her work was confirmed in the following quote from an independent recommender, [Client’s] and her colleagues further demonstrated that strong visual symbols are much more powerful than brand names in relaying these brand logo benefits to consumers. This research has important implications for the ways in which companies create, develop, and manage their logos, suggesting that this is an often untapped source for business growth and customer retention.” Through extensive documentation, we were able to successfully argue that our client would serve the national interest to a significantly greater degree than others with similar education and experience.
